10 Rock Music Songs That Have Been Played The Most Live

2. Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (2,345 Times)

Of all the great Iron Maiden songs out there, only one has been played over 2,000 times live at the time of writing.

It's not The Trooper, which sits on 1,647. It's not The Number of the Beast, which is dangerously close with 1,998. In fact, it's a song that didn't even originally feature Bruce Dickinson on vocals.

For their 1980 self-titled release, which saw Paul Di'Anno handle singing duties, the band recorded a song called Iron Maiden. That means the group Iron Maiden have a song called Iron Maiden from an album also called Iron Maiden. Does anybody else's head hurt?

This is the song that has been played the most times live by the band; 2,345 times, to be exact. Its first recorded performance was actually back in 1976, at the Cart & Horses pub in London where Maiden cut their teeth.

The song's near half-century lifespan is what gives it the edge over everything else in Maiden's discography, but, to give it credit, it's still in their regular setlist to this very day.
