10 Rock Songs With Really Disturbing Endings

9. Detroit Rock City - KISS

The entire catalog of KISS has always been centered around the feel good power of rock and roll. I mean, you're not going to go to a show that features men decked out in black and white face paint and expect to be taught a lesson by the end of things. As time went on though, Paul Stanley actually managed to make an entire story song on Detroit Rock City, and it's not a pretty sight.

The song seems to start off okay, with you hearing the sound of keys and a guy getting into his car, presumably on his way to a KISS concert. When Paul picks up the story, you get the picture of this guy getting more and more excited as he works his way downtown and counting down the hours that he gets to see his favorite band. Then again, we do get some tragic details, like the fact that he decided to get behind the wheel drunk of his ass and high, swerving in and out of different lanes on the way there.

After the solo puts us practically in the passenger seat, this guy is driving like a madman through the streets of New York, until he collides head on with a truck and laughs as he accepts his fate. With the sound of screeching breaks closing out the song, we're only left with one conclusion. This man lived the rock and roll lifestyle and is now lying dead on the side of the road.
