10 Rock Stars Who Didn't Like Their Most Famous Songs

9. Brendon Urie - I Write Sins Not Tragedies

Despite all the backlash thrown their way as riders of the emo hype wave, there was always genuine talent to be found in Panic! at the Disco's work. Though the band's debut A Fever You Can't Sweat Out takes a few dramatic tonal shifts here and there, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" is a clear demonstration of the band's amazing pop-punk songwriting.

Though the song has become a modern classic with its delicate string accompaniment and fantastic shout-along chorus, it's now become a bit of a thorn in the side of the man singing it. Over the years, Brendon Urie has developed a particular distaste for the song that put the band on the map. While Urie certainly has other hits up his sleeve, the fans always lose their minds every time the opening strings blare out of the concert speakers.

In fact, several compilations on YouTube show concert footage of Urie performing the song and holding the mic out to the audience for the entire first verse. One particularly hilarious highlight comes when he's about to go into the chorus and quickly vents his frustration of being tired of the song. It may be etched into the minds of 2000's kids, but Urie is one of the few who wants to close the goddamn door on this track.
