10 Shocking Music Videos From Big-Name Artists

1. The Prodigy - Smack My B**** Up

They say you should never judge a book by its cover, but to judge the 'Smack My B**** Up' video on its title wouldn't land you too far from the truth.

This video is one of the most notorious of all time and seeing it unedited - or even at all - at the time of release was a matter of waiting for it to screen after midnight on TV channels brave enough. Even now, it's rarely on YouTube.

The video charts one debauched night out complete with fighting, drinking, heavy drug abuse and sex, all set the sireny tones of Liam Howlett, the late, great Keith Flynn and co.

Released in 1997, the video unsurprisingly attracted heavy criticism from feminists, despite the big twist at the end of the clip, which revealed that the perpetrator on this crazy trip is in fact a woman as well.
