An instance of the band forgetting all notion of appropriate grammar, fallingforyou was initially only available to those who invested in the deluxe version of 'The 1975' album - or those who had bought the band's IV EP.
The song passes by in an instant, despite being four minutes in duration, as it swells in depth towards the cathartic screech: 'I don't wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your neck' and it encapsulates a haunting mixture of angst, desire and the fear of rejection that the band continue to explore with every emotive release.
It boggles the mind when you realise that this B-Side has become an integral part of the band's live set despite not actually featuring on their core studio albums. Maybe it's testimony to the fan base that there's scarcely a live performance without this track but it's more likely The 1975 realised just how good this song really is.
