https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nR3lD9N2jXQ Vampiric-lyric: "No one is safe when I close my eyes, I come to take your life" It would be 2009's Endgame that firmly put Megadeth back in pole position as far as leading the thrash-race was concerned, but 2007's United Abominations is often overlooked as another stellar album that allowed Dave Mustaine to get experimental again on the likes of Washington Is Next's thumb-tapping section, or Burnt Ice's extremely unorthodox-sounding intro. The album would ultimately fall down lyrically and it's a notion you can hear in full force on Sleepwalker, with ridiculously "That's so Mustaine" lyrics like "I roll your body up in a carpet to make music in the trunk of my limousine, rapped up in a rug. A fitting end, is that I send you up the river like a punk". Sure these things are still a major stickler for people who like to feel invested in what they're singing along to, but when the core verse riff is as chunky and machine gun-like as this, with one of the catchiest choruses Megadeth have done this side of Sweating Bullets, it's pretty awesome.
