10. Blur - Tender
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-T8LMZhz6FQ Tender is already, quite rightly, considered one of Blur's classic tracks, but it takes on a life of its own onstage. There is rarely a greater feeling than attending a gig and bellowing back the words to a song at the artist while arm in arm with a complete stranger-Tender is amongst the greatest 'communal singalong' songs. The best example for this that I could find was the majestic rendition that crowned Blur's Glastonbury performance in 2009. The band had just ended a six-year hiatus, and were greeted by the festival crowd as returning heroes. Guitarist Graham Coxon had sat out the band's last album, 2003's Think Tank, and was the recipient of a large part of the crowd's goodwill, his vocal parts being sung lustily by the crowd before the intro was more than six notes in. This performance stretched out into a ten-minute epic, and reportedly left Damon Albarn in tears. By the time the choir kicks in towards the end, he was probably not alone.
