10 Terrible Albums By Legendary Music Bands

8. Just Push Play - Aerosmith

After long years of being one of the greatest rock bands in the world, it's strange to think that Aerosmith didn't get their first No. 1 until the '90s. These were the Bad Boys from Boston that ruled the era of stadium rock, and the first song that ever reached the top of the charts for them was I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing, which leaned much more on the ballad side of their sound than the heavy blues. Success can never be a bad thing, but Aerosmith got a horrible idea once they tasted that first No. 1.

Going into the studio by themselves for Just Push Play, this entire record sounds like it's trying to capitalize off of the success of their blockbuster smash, replacing all of the bluesy style hard rock with a high gloss sheen that no one really asked for. While some songs do have a hint of soul to them like the opener Beyond Beautiful, hearing songs like Fly Away From Here sound like they're trying their hand at blockbuster soundtracks all over again, except this time the movie they soundtracked doesn't exist.

Almost immediately after the record came out, even the rest of the band weren't that fond of it, with only Steven Tyler standing up to defend it most of the time. These guys were known as the more filthy version of a band like the Rolling Stones, so you know we've crossed a line when you can't tell them apart from the Backstreet Boys brand of pop music.
