1. The Beatles Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite (Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band)
https://youtu.be/vCiG7xoEb2Y The circus might be the worst topic of inspiration for any form of artistic media, especially when it is plumbed at such a surface value (the lyrics for the song being a nearly word-for-word interpretation of a 19th century circus poster). The instances of show or circus-centric themes are inconsequential in comparison to the greater themes on the album that explore dissatisfaction with ones life through social, economic, or mental means. It also sits in a completely awkward place on the album for its topic. As a song that behaves as something to set a new scene in the way of "With a Little Help from My Friends," it is tacked on the end of side one. The attempt at a new momentum created by the song is cut short, and the album moves forward into the slow "Within You Without You" - giving the previous song a distinct lack of importance that does not continue elsewhere on the album.
