8. It Took 3 Years For Him To Sign With Atlantic Records

When Mars moved to L.A, he eventually met his manager Aaron bay-Schuck. After Schuck heard several of Mars' songs, he was eager to sign him to the label, but Atlantic refused stating that he wasn't ready and needed to develop as an artist. Eventually, in 2009, he was signed to Atlantic after finding success in his songwriting and producing for other artists.
