10 Things You Didn't Know About Bruno Mars

7. His Backing Band Are The Hooligans

Mars' backing band are called The Hooligans and they have been with him since his first album in 2010. They are known for their eccentric and high energy showmanship, where they often mimic Mars' movements onstage. They have a similar style and flair to the old blues and soul bands like The Famous Flames, who backed for James Brown. One of the most notable members is Eric Hernandez, who plays the drums; he is Bruno's brother. Only one member has left the group since the beginning and his name was Kenji Chan, who played lead guitar. Rather than find a replacement, keyboard Phredley Brown took over.
