10 Things You Didn't Know About Nirvana's Nevermind

8. Kiss Appear On The Back Cover

The back cover of the album features a combination of bizarre photography that Cobain shot and collaged together during his primitive years as an artist and songwriter. It features a rubber monkey depicted as being in hell. But, if you look very closely (and squint) you can see above the monkey€™s head a picture of Kiss€™ 1976 album, Destroyer. Trust me, you really have to look for it, and it is a little blurred, but I can assure you it€™s there. Kiss was one of Cobain€™s favourite bands as a child and we guess Destoyer was one of his personal favourite releases by the make-up wearing hard rock band. The guitarist clarified this sighting once in a interview saying, €œIf you look real close, there€™s a picture of Kiss in the back, standing on a slab of beef.€ €œKiss standing on a slab of beef,€ theres a sentence you don€™t say every day.

Martin Scorsese fanboy; Can prove in 140-characters why Michael Bay is a hack, and I enjoy a bit of Gridiron at the weekends.
