10 Things You Didn't Know About The Black Keys

8. They Had A Falling Out Over Keep It Hid

In 2009, Auerbach briefly parted ways with Carney to record his debut solo album Keep It Hid. Not that big of a deal you might think, but the two had a falling out when Pat found out that his bandmate had been touring the album without his knowledge, claiming "Everybody knew but me. I was mad at Dan. I was mad at our manager. I was mad at everybody." "I told him about it," Dan later said, "but he likes to think I didn't." Not to be outdone, Carney proceeded to put together his own side project titled Drummer, in which he played - you guessed it - bass guitar. Luckily, the feud was short lived, and they've since described their relationship as "brotherly". Appropriate, given the title of the 2010 Grammy Award-winning album that they then went on to record.
