10 Times Rock Musicians Lost Their Cool On Stage

3. Henry Rollins Takes On The Audience

You just don't f**k with Henry Rollins. This guy was one of the most formidable figures in punk rock history. Originally, an enthusiastic fan of the punk rock band Black Flag, he would attend their concerts with a religious devotion.

In 1981 a series of events led Rollins to join the band on stage, and sing an impromptu version of the bands track Clocked In. The next day, Rollins was offered a place as their new lead singer.

Rollins's incredible intensity and dedication to the art form that is punk rock, made him one of the most iconic embodiments of what punk rock was all about. Hurling himself around stage, sweating buckets and often injury himself. Rollins was famous for giving every ounce of himself to his performances.

But, flinging yourself around a small, overcrowded room of enthusiastic and statistically wasted, crazed punk kids is going to lend itself to a few bust ups.

Rollins was known for his interaction with the audience members at this point, but one fan seemingly got a little too familiar, slapping the shirtless punk rocker several times, admittedly, it seemed in jest. Well, the Black Flag frontman didn't see the humour and ended up pummelling his unworthy opponent into punk-poser dust.
