2. Every GG Allin Gig Ever!
GG Allin was perhaps just as iconic on the punk rock scene as Henry Rollins, but for far more troubling reasons. A man who dedicated his life to subverting and undermining peoples perceptions of how a musician should act at a live show.
This was a guy who made it his mission at every gig to disgust, shock, draw blood, maim or otherwise make his audience have the least enjoyable time possible.
As well as defecating on stage... , multiple times, Allin would often antagonise the crowd, getting into naked (Allin was often naked) punch ups with whomever he could wind up enough. The footage of him performing is often disturbing to watch. With the bare minimum of emphasis placed on music, his shows were more akin to bare knuckle boxing matches than rock concerts.
It seemed to be his intention to wind the crowd up to the point they would start antagonising him in retaliation, giving him the justification he needed to go Hulk Hogan on their asses.
The most bizarre aspect of all of this, is GG Allin had a dedicated following of disciples who worshipped him as a nihilist messiah and would willingly attend his gigs with the express intent of getting messed up by him.
