9. The Black Eyed Peas Don't Stop The Party
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9LH_y159sg Totally Whack Lyrics: "Send you to that clinical, subscribe you some chemicals, audio and visual, can't see me invisible" (Time 00:58) Yes not all of will.i.am's clumsy outings fall completely on him. He gets to share in the blame with his fellow band mates The Black Eyed Peas. Taken from the album 'The Beginning' this was one of the not-so-well received tracks that were making a statement about being something new and different. Its opening lyrics "This is that original, this has no identical" was a ballsy statement for an album that was claiming to be innovative despite its leading single 'The Time' sampling the classic 'Time of My Life' from Dirty Dancing. Excusing the hypocrisy, the listener has to endure a list of the most benign kind of lyrics, the peak of which has to be "Can't see me Invisible". Not only is it completely laughable, it just feels placed into the track without any purpose. It's the kind of sentence you would feel dumb for saying out loud but Will delivers it with such conviction it's almost like he can't hear how inane he sounds.
