Feed the Tree got a lot of airplay on MTV, leading to their debut album Star being certified gold. The group are a different sort of alt-rock, sounding almost like dream pop at times, but the hooks are catchy and helped by lead singer Tanya Donnelly's raspy voice. Unfortunately, the band split up after the failure of their second album, King. Where Are They Now: Donnelly had a successful solo career while the rest of the band went their separate ways, becoming carpenters, photographers and activists. What an eclectic bunch.
