5. Girls On Film - Duran Duran

These days it's a fairly regular occurrence to see singers and rappers frolicking around with very little on, and it wouldn't really be MTV if we weren't confronted with Nicki Minaj's baffling backside every couple of hours, or a provocatively sexy video implying S&M and encouraging voyeurism, but it wasn't always that way. When Duran Duran released the particularly sexy video for "Girls On Film" they caused major controversy thanks to the graphic nature of the content. In it, the band play on a stage in front of a catwalk that looks like a boxing ring, in front of a cavalcade of scantily clad women who act out a series of erotic vignettes. Not particularly naughty by today's terms, but the depictions of BDSM, sexual fetishism and fantasy and recurring themes of seduction and abandonment were too much for censors of the day.
