If you think the Tardis-like chapel from the Guns N Roses' November Rain video was hard to believe, just wait until you watch the 9 minute long music video to Estranged. Man, what a trip!
Bit of an unpopular opinion here, but when it comes to Guns N Roses rock ballads, I think Estranged is the best one out there. Costing a whopping 4 million dollars to make, this music video has it all. From live recordings of their performance at the Olympiastadion in Munich to Slash emerging from the ocean like Excalibur, it's truly a masterpiece; completely bat-crap crazy but a masterpiece nonetheless. Oh yeah! Also there's a scene where Axel Rose sings to dolphins. Do you see now how you'd be forgiven for not remembering anything from the song after you've seen this music video?
The song itself was released from the album Use Your Illusion II in 1993 and is the final installment to the story told across the Don't Cry and November Rain music videos. What that story is, I couldn't tell you even if I watched them all a million times.
