10 Weird Christmas Songs You Probably Won't Hear On The Radio

2. A Very Arcade Xmas €“ Arcade Fire

Don't panic, Arcade Fire haven't released a Christmas album that you've only just heard about - but they did record a Christmas EP live at a party 2001. Apparently the EP was intended to be a homemade Christmas present for the band's friends, but unsurprisingly the tracks made it online and have been shared virtually ever since. While the first three songs on the EP are covers of classics including 'Jinglebell Rock', the last song is a hilariously brilliant (and clearly intoxicated) jam called 'A Very Arcade Xmas'. With rambling lyrics such as "So I ran out the door and I ran down the road/ To the bank to withdraw some more cash money/ I was sure that I had enough, I took it all out/ And returned to the store to purchase the rouge diamond for my love", this definitely isn't one of their greatest hits, but it embodies all the important elements of the season €“ getting merry with friends and singing silly songs.
