10 Weirdest Songs By Legendary Artists

5. Big Ten Inch Record - Aerosmith

Everything that Steven Tyler ever wrote for Aerosmith usually ends up going back to sex in some capacity. Even though you can listen to songs like Dream On without having any kind of carnal thoughts, the Bad Boys From Boston were a lot prouder of their sleaze than most, and the Demon of Screamin had no shame in putting some filth on their records every now and again. Right in the middle of Toys in the Attic, Big Ten Inch Record is one of the nastiest songs that isn't actually about sex.

If you pay attention to the lyrics, every one of these metaphors ends up coming back to Steven's girlfriend loving his record collection, talking about how much she loves the records of bands that play the blues. You wouldn't know that for listening to literally any of the other lyrics of the song, where he talks about getting hot and heavy with his girl and going crazy for his big ten inch...record.

By the time you get to the last few verses, the whole thing almost becomes a bit of a joke, as Tyler thinks of every other way to connect the song to sex, to the point where he practically sounds like he wants to get it on with his vinyl collection. While Aerosmith did have their hard edged sound around this time, there's nothing wrong with knocking out a quick joke song to fill things out. Stay classy, Bad Boys From Boston, and may you keep spinning those big ten inches!
