10 Worst Music Collaborations Of All Time

8. Foo Fighters/Justin Timberlake

There's a certain amount of quality you can expect whenever you put on a Foo Fighters record. Though there have been some hills and valleys in their career, Dave Grohl and co. have always been great when it comes to delivering high quality rock and roll whenever you need it. However, when they collaborate with people, things really start to take a turn for the worse.

Despite having incredible performances from people like Norah Jones and Josh Homme on their records, their latest release Concrete and Gold had one hell of a dud in Make it Right. Recording in Hollywood for the first time in nearly a decade, The Foos were at work with producer Greg Kurstin when Justin Timberlake walks in and asked if he could sing on a track. Though Make it Right was pretty alright as it is, the inclusion of Timberlake's voice is such a non-presence that many JT fans wouldn't have been the wiser if they were to listen to this on its own.

It also doesn't help that the rest of the band feel like their on auto-pilot, with most of the track being a bit of a comedown from the previous track Run. While there's no shame in shocking your fans with a weird collab, this feels like a potentially good song with Timberlake tacked on at the end to make it sound interesting. Whereas other bands have grand flameout collaborations, this is one of the few duets that tries to mask the actual collaboration that's taking place.
