4. Room For Rent
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoRPWH1v1Fw The Beatles. The La's. Echo & The Bunnymen. Just three great artists to come from the fiery depths of he - ahem - Liverpool... And now, I'd like to bring Room For Rent to your attention. The talented Scouse four-piece indie-rock band Room For Rent are influenced by a smorgasbord of musicians; from Arctic Monkeys and The Black Keys to Kings of Leon and The Strokes. This writer once mistakenly brought up The Strypes in an interview with lead guitarist/backing vocals man Jonathan, and would like to take this opportunity to clarify that they do NOT sound like the Strypes. At all. (Okay, they do a bit, but it can only be a good thing being they have supported Arctic Monkeys anyway right?). My personal favourite from 'Through The City', the band's EP is 'The Second Side', a slightly mellower track that builds to a crescendo at the chorus and sounds just like summer should (i.e. not lashing down with rain and misery). The band has played alongside some big names Dog Is Dead and Jaws to name just two but they definitely deserve to become a big household name in their own right. Not just temporarily, either. Less of a room for rent more of an outright downpayment and diary-date to move in.

On a more serious note, I'm currently studying for my A Levels, taking English Literature, English Language, History and Economics. I intend to study either English or Journalism at university.
