11 Songs You Are Embarrassed To Admit You Love

9. You Oughta Know- Alanis Morrisette

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPcyTyilmYY Breakups are hard and they rarely bring out the best in us. Sometimes we mope around like there€™s a raincloud hanging specifically over our heads, with friends trying to stay dry without blurting out what a buzzkill we are. And then some of us jot down a string of asinine phrases, describing how jilted we feel, and call it poetry. That€™s what Alanis Morrisette did. Couple that with the red hot rumor that she was writing about the much older and much loved actor of a family friendly sitcom and you€™ve literally created one of the best guilty pleasures ever recorded. At some point in our lives we can relate to the sentiment behind You Oughta Know. It€™s the reason why the song was so successful in the first place. This is less about giving credit to Alanis Morissette as a songwriter and more trashing all of us for our lowest moments. We€™ve all at some point wondered if the one who came after us was €œbetter€ for our ex-half. Which is why we can all get behind the sneer and venom Alanis has when we sing along. Let€™s get real petty here and be honest with ourselves. As relatable as You Oughta Know is, the fun and real enjoyment comes from imagining every lurid scene she€™s painting for us and knowing that she€™s talking about Full House€™s Uncle Joey. Enough said.

Just like Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse, Mickey Galie is the best friend a good time ever had.
