12 Best Female Rock Singers Of All Time

3. Hayley Williams - Paramore

Out of all the pop punk bands to come out of the 2000's rock scene, Paramore always seemed to be a bit of a lowlight. While they definitely had a rabid following on the strength of tracks like "Misery Business," their star never loomed quite as large as acts like Fall Out Boy or Green Day. These bands may have had bigger hits, but no one could hold a candle to Hayley Williams' voice.

As opposed to the more delicate voices of the pop realm at the time like Britney Spears, Williams' range grabbed you by the throat and demanded that you take notice from the moment she opened her mouth.

Across hits like "That's What You Get" and "Brighter," her voice reaches such sonic peaks that put even the greatest metal belters to shame. She may have power, but Williams also possesses one of the prettiest sounding lower registers in the business, with songs like "In the Mourning" and "The Only Exception" being true feats of virtuosic singing.

Even if Paramore has gone down a more experimental road as of late, Hayley Williams has not dulled with age and has even expanded to include more styles than before.

With even more great music coming down the pipeline this year, Hayley Williams is a musical freak of nature who is sure to be one of the greatest rock vocalists to everyone pick up a mic.
