12 Great Heavy Metal Deep Cuts

6. System Of A Down - I-E-A-I-A-I-O

System of a Down's third album is often overlooked, possibly due to its release being so close to the seminal 'Toxicity'. 'Steal This Album' was far a disappointment though. It may not have had breakout tracks quite as successful as 'Chop Suey', but it was a powerhouse of pounding riffs and the band's trademark weirdness.

Despite critics and fans referring to the effort as a collection of B-Sides from the previous album, the band themselves rate the effort highly. Drummer John Dolmayan and vocalist Serj Tankian have both went on record to call it their favourite release.

If you're looking for System of a Down at their weirdness, look no further than 'I-E-A-I-A-I-O'. Featuring lyrics about meeting David Hasslehoff and other, less repeatable lines, the track is chaotic in the best possible way.

The dynamic instrumental during the verse gives you whiplash. While the almost religious tone of the chorus vocals provides a mellow break from the jarring riffs.
