12 Hard Rock Band Members Who Switched Instruments
3. Jack White - The White Stripes/The Raconteurs/The Dead Weather
Jack White is one of the reasons why rock survived the 2000's. With a lot of bands getting bogged down in the fashions of the day, White's work with the White Stripes brought everything back down to earth with simplistic guitar parts and mountains of attitude. However, White's stamp on the music world wasn't going to stop at just a few good riffs.
While many rock fans remember Jack's work as the co-frontman of the Raconteurs, he proved to be a master musician once he put together the Dead Weather. As opposed to being the eccentric frontman we all know him as today, White's work behind the kit could rival any of his previous work. Though he may have been behind the kit, White didn't skimp out on any performance, as he gave the audience the same energy he would if he had a guitar strapped to him.
In addition to being a master musician, White has also built up quite the resume as a producer for his solo records along with various artists on his label Third Man Records. Even if a lot of Jack White's musical ventures are comprised of retro throwbacks, the talent White has across multiple instruments makes every track sound fresh and exciting.
