Hard Rock started this new decade with a hell of a bang. From supergroups like Sons of Apollo giving us new material to the return of old bands like Pearl Jam and Ozzy Osbourne, the future seemed to be looking pretty well. However, as with everything else this year, the times complicated things.

As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, many great hard rock acts have either had to postpone their album releases or are forced to stay at home rather than working in the studio. However, that doesn't mean will have to wait for new rock music for too much longer.

There are many bands who had big plans for their next records and will do anything in their power to make sure it makes its way to the fans. Sure, we may not have a set deadline on that much of this stuff, but it will be of the highest quality rock when it is eventually released. Whether it's old dogs coming back to the forefront or the new school of rock getting ready to wow us again, let's take a look at a few records that are currently in the development stages. Hopefully we'll see these released sooner rather than later.

12. You're Welcome - A Day To Remember

Anyone who has even remotely been following post-hardcore has heard a good helping of A Day to Remember. The band has been one of the biggest names in the scene for quite some time, with albums like Homesick and What Separates Me From You being modern classics of the genre.

In 2013, the band's release of Common Courtesy was where every part of their sound came together, with bright pop hooks and meaty guitar grooves to boot. Even though Bad Vibrations in 2016 wasn't as spellbinding as their previous effort, fans should still be on the lookout for the band's next release You're Welcome.

It may be a little disquieting that the band have shifted labels to Fueled By Ramen, but the actual core of the band seems secure through and through. The band had always been known for their dabblings in other genres like pop-punk, so this could be a shakeup that the band needs to get a different kind of sound out of their system. Though the album was originally expected earlier, the shock to the release schedule has left the eventual release uncertain. Even if it might not be as heavy as you might expect, You're Welcome is sure to be full of surprises, which we've pretty much come to expect with this band.
