4. Musicians Die Sooner

A University of Sydney study which looked at the mortality rate and statistics of musical artists' lives from 1950 to 2014 and found their average age of death. Comparing this against the average for the general population of the USA, it found that musicians' lives tend to be 25 years shorter than most other people.

Perhaps it is the price of fame, the toll of living fast on drugs and alcohol or the demands of what can be quite a physical job - have you tried touring for years on end, living in a bus and wearing a 10 pound piece of wood and metal for several hours each night and day?

Whatever the reason, it so often seems that our favourite musicians are gone before their time.
