12 Most Hated Hard Rock Songs (On Great Albums)

6. Night Prowler - AC/DC

AC/DC seemed to have finally reached the rock big time with Highway To Hell. Based on the strength of the title track and deep cuts like "Walk All Over You," these Aussies were poised to take over the rock world. Then again, there's a fine line between pioneering sleaze rock and just being plain sleazy.

It's no secret that the guys in AC/DC like to pack their songs with a lot of sexual minnuendo, but the final track "Night Prowler" tends to leave less to the imagination. The entire song reads like a demented horny man searching for a companion in the night. Instead of sauntering into a bar as you would probably expect, this guy stalks his old flames at their houses, as he imagines working his way into their room while they're asleep.

The off-putting lyrics only got more chilling when a man was arrested in the mid-80's after raping and murdering 15 women and claiming this song as a subliminal inspiration. The band have since denied any possible connection with the murders, but have dropped the song in and out of their live shows. This record was definitely the highlight of Bon Scott's career, but no one could have predicted that this song was the last we would hear from the trademark squealer.
