12 Most Hated Hard Rock Songs (On Great Albums)

7. One In A Million - Guns N Roses

By the late 80's, the tide of hard rock music was drifting further and further towards Guns N Roses. After the success of their monstrous debut Appetite for Destruction, the band took off to become one of the biggest stadium acts in the world. While they were still dominating the scene, the band quickly ducked into the studio to knock out some acoustic cuts for their EP GNR Lies.

The album has been praised over the years for its more delicate delivery along with the megahit "Patience," which has gone to become one of their greatest slowburns. On the other hand, things start to get a little awkward once you reach the final track "One In A Million." Written solely by Axl Rose, this song's lyrics read like the diatribe of a street rat who is nihilistic to everyone around him.

That should be no problem if written well, but Rose's use of different racial slurs and homophobic passages tended to rub some fans the wrong way. Given that guitar god Slash is half-black, he has also expressed being very unsettled whenever the song was being played during rehearsals. This acoustic session may have produced some beautiful gems, but not all of the tracks were exactly golden.
