12 Musicians You Didn't Realise Have Truly Bizarre Alter Egos

9. Korn's Lead Singer Goes Dubstep As J. Devil

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kogF5koOcg Though Korn has never shied away from embracing doofy trends now and again (covering novelty 80s songs was majorly in vogue in 2004 when they released their version of Cameo's "Word Up"), Jonathan Davis' venture into Skrillex territory seems a bit...desperate. Like your grandpa learning all of the words to that new Bruno Mars song so you'll pay attention to him again. Davis commits a number of elder statesman faux paus in describing his new act: calling his laptop his best "instrument," saying how much he loves the dub step "scene," and expressing his adoration for "the kids" who are a part of it. Oh, and even though the guy helped produce Korn's last album, don't dare compare Davis' version of dub step to Skrillex:
"It doesn't really sound anything like him. I've had a chance to work with all the best guys in the business and it taught me a lot. I like to come up with my own style, so I'm getting respect from lots of people."
And there are faux paus numbers 4, 5, and 6.
