12 Perfect Classic Rock Albums With NO Bad Songs

8. Appetite for Destruction - Guns N Roses

After years of being in the spotlight, the hair metal scene really needed to be knocked down a few pegs. It wasn't just that the scene had too many bands...it's that every single one of the bands were getting way too stupid for their own good. Just when we thought that we had to settle with a band like Warrant, Guns N Roses came along and brought the scene back to the streets with Appetite for Destruction.

Compared to the party rock albums that put ballads in between the odes to partying, there's a lot more to unpack on Appetite, almost reading like a diary of what it's like to be a street rat living hand to mouth on Sunset. Whereas Poison was singing about looking for a good time or Ratt talked about being a wanted man, Welcome to the Jungle was Sunset at face value, with Axl Rose revealing the seedier side of downtown LA.

This album also deserves kudos alone for giving us the guitar god known as Slash, who made one lyrical guitar masterpiece after the next, whether it's the crazy solo at the end of Paradise City or weaving through different key changes on Sweet Child O Mine. If hair metal had any hope to survive past this, they had to measure up to these guys.
