10. iamamiwhoami
electronica/synth pop/indie If Sweden were to have its own soundtrack, that soundtrack might sound a lot like
iamamiwhoami a collaborative entity between singer-songwriter
Jonna Lee, producer
Claes Bjorklund and film director
Robin Kempe-Bergman. Not so much a musical project but also a multimedia collective, which sounds a lot to take in really. Though, no doubt wholly rewarding if experienced; there are videos on YouTube that will take you to that multimedia experience. In the here and now of this feature though, Im focussing on the musical stylings of
iamamiwhoami and what stylings they are. Creating a glacier-like electronic pop soundscape, the music of
iamamwhoami offers up an easy way of finding yourself lost delivering hauntingly melancholic atmospheres alongside a pulsating and methodical groove, complete by
Lees hypnotically gentile vocals. When I eventually visit Sweden, I may just play their album
Kin in headphones and wander aimlessly all of the day and all of the night. http://youtu.be/e7zyF2QJ1BA
