9. Danger
electro/progressive/french house With the long-awaited return of
Daft Punk upon us, and their new album imminent, it might become too easy to forget that theres more to France, and indeed French house music, than that godlike duo. So, by way of drawing a little attention elsewhere on the French music scene, Id like to bring to your attention;
Danger, the electronic persona of French musician
Franck Rivoire. The French have always been good at house and electro, with their biggest exports being the aforementioned
Daft Punk and
Justice. However, if there was any justice (ahem) in the world,
Danger would be revered in equal measure.
Danger comes across as perfectly fluent in producing experimental and progressive house music that touches upon any number of electronic genres, but still maintains an incredible accessibility and is just so goddamn danceable. http://youtu.be/ugxTsl8_ZuI
