One of the key things that Taylor Swift always received criticism about was her dating life. What made it worse was that she also sang about relationships a fair bit, like most singers in the top 40. In true classy form, Taylor recently set the record straight, pointing out that these critics dont pick on Ed Sheeran or Bruno Mars lyrics about love, exes, and broken hearts. The idea that they can have a string of exes shows how cool and sexy they are, and yet Swift was a serial dater who trolls on the internet called a slut. The comparison needed to be made, and she made it swiftly and eloquently.
