It's that time again. That time where I come at you from all angles with new music that I insist you should be listening to right this second. I wouldn't suggest listening to them all at the same time right this second though, it might take away from some of the enjoyment. Then again though it might create something cacophonously spectacular. Probably not though Anyway, as stated, here I am pestering you yet again, and proving to myself at least that this shall be a more consistently regular feature for you to keep your eyes and ears out for, or ignore at all cost if you can't stand my confused meanderings. There's plenty for you to have snoop through, and I can't see a reason why you won't find at least one thing you like there's a lot of talent over these next few pages. Without further ado and, as always, in no particular order; 13 Things You Should Be Listening To Right Now!
13. Julianna Barwick
ambient/choral/experimental http://youtu.be/NNlEo9ybEPA This entry can be wholeheartedly indebted to fellow WhatCulture writer Ryan Estabrooks. I say this on account of his feature 7 Experimental Albums of 2013 introducing me to the beautiful, beautiful sounds of Julianna Barwick through her album Nepenthe. It's a great list by the way which you should go read and check out the brilliant albums within. Once you're through reading my list. Please finish reading my list. So yeah, upon checking out said album I was immediately overly enthusiastic and somewhat besotted with Barwick's music as my friends whom I badgered immediately to listen to her can attest to. She now has a number of albums and EPs under her belt, with last year's Nepenthe being the latest, and throughout each of this Barwick creates absolutely stunning atmospheres based multiple layers and loops of her vocals creating this ethereal choir like effect that is just beautiful.
