2. Eyedress
electronica/witch house/dream pop http://youtu.be/7Ehv37kbRpc In a bedroom somewhere in Quezon City, Manila (the Philippines), Idris Vicuña combined himself with a hand-me-down laptop from his father and started making an ethereal blend of bedroom electronica that harkens back a little to the witch house boom of a few years ago. However, he takes things forward through sumptuous discount synths to create a genuinely stunning soundscape that boasts an altogether pretty quality, as all the while its seedy underbelly broods gently and disturbingly in the dark. Vicuña currently has just the one EP at the moment under his guise of Eyedress, but this year is just getting started and Eyedress has previously shared stages with the likes of Grimes. You can imagine then, that there will be plenty more to come as Eyedress continues to build upon its innocent yet ominous foundations.
