Well, the answer is that you get Amelie McCandless, who takes all those elements and fuses them together to create her dreamy and spiritual spin on traditional folk. Just listening to last year's EP Wild Memories you can hear all those ingredients making their presence known in her sound, but not intrusively; the mix is just right for creating an absorbing style that allows McCandless to shine through in her own individual way and not as an obvious sum of the parts that make her. Speaking of shining through, her vocals do just that with brilliant tone and just enough quirk to her performance. Though, that's not to take away from the awesome arrangements that she's concocted to accompany her.
