3. Catfish And The Bottlemen

Indie/rock n roll/pop

catfish and the bottlemen

Though their name might sound like the title of a slightly disturbing children's book, or the moniker of either a psychedelic or psychobilly band, it is in fact the chosen name of a four piece from Wales who follow the classic band-forming storyline formula having met in school, bonded over music and started making a racket of their own. It's quite a racket too. The band's sound falls on the guitar driven end of the indie spectrum, with comparisons to The Vaccines, Glasvegas, The Libertines, Razorlight and The Gaslight Anthem, kind of getting to the core of it but not really. There's perhaps an element of each of those present, but the band sport a very anthemic style of their own. http://youtu.be/TqR19NYRwXU
