One of Tumblrs recent favourites Bones has built up a diehard fan base due to his obsession with churning out new stuff at a ridiculous rate and refusing to sign with a major label despite their ongoing clingy persistence. Elmo OConnor, otherwise known as Bones, has been making otherworldly pseudo cloud rap for a while now and the internet has quickly claimed him as one of their own. His stuff can be unsettling, brooding constantly and bristling with melancholy wrapped up with a lo-fi mentality that makes his tracks sound like they were recorded on old VHS tapes. Bones is entirely of and for the internet generation, he caters perfectly to millennials and surfs the zeitgeist in a manner big money names can only dream of doing. His back catalogue is filled with bare knuckle beats and hes flat out terrifying. Its the sort of music parents will blame school shootings for because its screaming, blaring and all bass. And when I say all bass, I really mean all bass. Bones manages to consistently find that tone that makes your internal organs feel funny and turns your blood into slurry.
