15 Best Guitar Solos Of The Decade (So Far)

10. Heaven's Basement - The Long Goodbye (2:24)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDNjfgDIQKc The past, present and future of rock n' roll if they play their cards right, Heaven's Basement started out doing lighter, more high-pitched material in the style of a non self-aware Steel Panther, but all that did one hell of a 180 when they recruited the righteous pipes of one Aaron Buchanan. Coming in like a sledgehammer of vocal perfection he completely dominated their Unbreakable EP, and its his drive that transfers across into the full release of Filthy Empire - and in particular Sid Glover's raucous guitar work. Sometimes you just want to hear someone dump a full wah pedal and play as many notes as they can over the top, and coming at a point in what's already a hugely enjoyable chant-a-long song, Long Goodbye's solo tops everything off with a leather jacket-wearing cherry.
