9. Dancing With Kadafi

One of IM’s longest tracks, ‘Dancing with Kadafi’ is more of a relaxing ‘chill-out’ track that keeps a lower tempo and features softer instruments, while still relying heavily on effects to fill in the gaps. Even on the loudest volume setting, this track doesn’t have any ‘heavy’ song with high attack; most of them are smooth, have long delay, and give for a more peaceful listening experience.

At the five-minute mark, all of the regular instruments stop and the listener gets to hear a rare treat: an incredibly peaceful minute-long piano-and-violin combination that links back to both artists’ backgrounds in classical music, with the sound of birds chirping in the background. For a band group whose sound is almost always an acquired taste, this track is uniquely soothing throughout, no matter how heavy the synthesized sounds might get.

If you wanted an example of why Infected Mushroom are considered to be so multi-talented, look no further than this track. They’re able to make an ambient track without ditching their signature musical elements.
