15 Best Radio 1 Live Lounge Covers

5. Leona Lewis - Run (Originally by Snow Patrol)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x455Tvx8J5Q Probably the most famous Live Lounge is Leona Lewis who later released this as a single. While Snow Patrol€™s original has an understated charm Leona€™s mesmerizing vocal control grabs your attention. It€™s hard to listen to this cover without getting shivers, the original live cover is significantly more goosebump worthy than the studio version later released. The way she feels this makes it hard to believe that she didn€™t write the song herself.

4. Bastille - Locked Out Of Heaven (Originally by Bruno Mars)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eHKLX7LqDE The newest cover on this list comes via Bastille who mashed up this Bruno Mars track. Slowing it down and adding violins (that sound a lot like Kanye and Jayz€™s Nigga€™s in Paris) this track breaks down into XX€™s No Angels and more randomly Rihanna€™s Diamond. Haunting and unrecognizable the newcomers put their stamp on the track making it more about love and less about awesome sex.
