3. Embrace - How Come (Originally by D12)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUJRqgJatfQ Before Snow Patrol there was Embrace to supply us with emotion indie ballads, a band who wont be remembered for more than two songs but their live lounge is one of the most surprising. The band took a song that couldnt be further from their sound with the rap ballad by Eminems D12 and turned into an almost musical style ballad that builds up to a piano crescendo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4eTUrunPXU
2. Ben Howard - Call Me Maybe (Originally by Carly Rae Jepsen)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPU8V-nvUEk Howard takes the cheesy summer hit and makes it the creepy stalker song it should be. The threatening build up that goes into the trademark Howard sounding chorus highlight just how stalkerish those lyrics are. Howard even cracks up at one point because this song is ridiculous. I dont think wed all find it so funny if this had been the original. Howard covered Ellie Goulding's Figure 8 on a later session. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWNaR-rxAic
