Since they formed in 1992, blink-182 have gone on to completely reshape the landscape of modern pop-punk music.

Like it all not, without the Californian punk trio we'd not have Avril Lavigne, All Time Low, Neck Deep or Panic! at the Disco as you know them. Heck, even Mumford & Sons and The Chainsmokers have cited the snotty three piece as inspiration.

Although they're one of the most popular modern bands to ever do it, there's a heck of a lot you don't know about blink-182.

They've gone through multiple singers and drummers, started up a whole host of brands, have been through the kind of horrors that you wouldn't wish on your enemy... and had a whole lot of fun.

They used to be Tom, Mark and Travis, now they're Matt, Mark and Travis, but there are a ton of things you probably missed in between.

Mark Hoppus was introduced to Tom DeLonge by his sister’s boyfriend. The two clicked instantly and were seemingly inseparable both as friends and as a band - rehearsing constantly until he was asked to stop.

Despite the closeness between the two frontmen, Hoppus actually left blink-182 in the early days, after his then-girfriend gave him an ultimatum: "It's me or the band".

It turned out that she was not a fan of how much time Mark was spending with his fellow bandmates instead of her, and made him choose between the two.

Hoppus may have initially given in and chosen this girl, but this didn't last for long, as when he heard that Blink were recording a demo, he slid straight back into the bands formation.

If we're talking technicalities, there's actually not a single member of blink-182 that has been a part of the band consistently since the very beginning, but scratching that, Mark Hoppus is the last remaining original member.

He's been there since the beginning, helped shape the sound of pop-punk and he'll be there 'til the end.
