13. Stone Dead Forever
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBFhvEQMPME "Stone Dead Forever" is an utterly essential Motörhead track and the first on this list to have been composed by the classic Motörhead line-up of Lemmy, "Fast" Eddie Clarke and Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor. As is Lemmy's way, he wields his bass like a second lead guitar and provides a perfect and obligatory classic bass intro for the boys to follow. The result? A down and dirty-sounding, blues inspired, classic rock stomper; whisky soaked, tobacco stained and reeking of workingman sweat. Found on the classic 1979 album Bomber, "Stone Dead Forever" helped to cement Motörhead's place as founding father's of the burgeoning New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene with its heavy metal trappings cleverly laced with just enough melody to soften the cast iron bite of its insistent and unforgiving attack. Listening to this too loud, a term that does not exist in Lemmy's world incidentally, is more likely to leave you stone deaf forever!

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
