15 Most Pulse-Pounding Motörhead Tracks

8. Killed by Death

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJj7gIjwPEY "Killed by Death" was one of the few original songs recorded for the 1984 compilation album No Remorse and was the first to feature the new line-up of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel, and Pete Gill; the first time Lemmy had hired two guitarists to bolster his already formidable wall of sound. "Killed By Death" is a classic cut of heavy metal but with one noticeable, genre-defining difference. At two minutes and 45 seconds Lemmy unleashes a vocal line that can only be described as a black metal rasp later made famous by the likes of genre-pioneers Bathory, Mayhem and Darkthrone. Darkthrone have practically been recording Motörhead records in recent years, transforming their tinnitus inducing, black metal racket into a black n' roll, punked-up Motörhead tribute act, so its pretty safe to say that they were listening very intently when Lemmy played some vocal tricks of his own on this underrated track.

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
