7. Motörhead
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AUVGrUTE-Q You can call it punk, thrash, heavy metal, or as Lemmy would prefer rock n' roll, it doesn't really matter all bases are covered in this ferocious statement of intent which practically screamed in your face; "We are Motörhead and we're coming to smash your teeth in!" Originally released just as punk rock hit its commercial peak and had become a surprising yet significant cultural phenomenon in the U.K., "Motorhead', amidst a dizzying burst of speed and snarling belligerence, practically out-punked the likes of the Sex Pistols and The Damned. Lemmy's sublime fusion of blues and rock 'n' roll contained enough spit, bile and bite to leave those punk kids breathing in Motörhead's dust as the group sped by. Motörhead is slang for 'speed-freak', and there can be no better way to describe Lemmy's state of mind, his drug of choice and his preferred speed of playing his own brand of rock 'n' roll on this classic track.

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
