4. Captain Jack Performs Centerfold
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d5Mge9LtFQ Formed in the mid-90s, Captain Jack is a Eurodance group out of Germany. They gained great popularity beginning in 1996 when Francisco Gutierrez a.k.a. Franky Gee took the role of frontman. Wearing a stylized uniform based on a US Army Officer's dress uniform and a cap modeled after the Marines cap, he embodied the character of Captain Jack. The group had a number of cover songs over the years and this one just seems like one of the best of the bunch. The original, by Worcester, MA based J. Geils Band, is given the addition of bagpipes and a faster beat. Again, there's a female lead on this song in the form of Illi Love, with Franky Gee chiming in on the chorus in a formula that served Captain Jack well until the unfortunate passing of Franky Gee in 2005.
